Common reasons CBD may not work for some people.June 7, 2018
If you’ve tried CBD oil without results, here are 4 common reasons why it may not have worked for you.
You’re Not Taking the Right Dose
Dr. Elaine Burns, founder of the Southwest Medical Marijuana Evaluation Centers in Phoenix said “If it isn’t working for someone, it is either low-quality or the dosing is incorrect. Usually, it’s a combination of both.”
Jordan Tishler, MD, a Harvard physician and cannabis therapeutics specialist said “CBD at the tiny doses that people are taking (10 to 40 milligrams) is simply not effective” He pointed out studies on CBD that show that doses need to be much, much higher, 600 to 1,200 mg.
Your Product Isn’t High-Quality
When the FDA tested CBD products and released the results to the public, many of the products contained fractional to no CBD. It’s important to look for a trusted brand and reputable manufacturer. Find out about the growing and manufacturing process from seed to shelf, and ask where the raw materials are sourced from and the extraction method used. A consumer should be able to request batch testing that shows purity and potency.
You May Need a Blend of Cannabinoids
CBD is one of over 100 cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. You may, in fact, need a more complex cannabinoid profile in the plant for it to be effective. Choose a full-spectrum CBD oil so you will get the entourage effect from all the cannabinoids working together synergistically.
You Haven’t Been Using It Long Enough
Even though some have quick success, It may take longer for some to experience the longer-term effects of CBD; such as the anti-inflammatory properties. This will require daily use, and the benefits can be felt after two to four weeks.
